Field Trips and Excursions
Vienna is brimming with things to do! Our students can visit:
- Rehearsals and performances at the State Opera, Musikverein, Konzerthaus and numerous other theatres
- Museums and art galleries of modern art, natural history, art history and military history
- Parks and recreational areas: Prater, Lainzer Tiergarten, Danube River Island and the Vienna woods
- Significant locations: United Nations agencies, majestic palaces, Austrian parliament and city hall
Our students take advantage of Austria’s beautiful cities, peaceful countryside, and varied seasons. They get out into the mountains, through the forests, and to the lakes and rivers. Our central location gives us easy access to other major European cities and cultures, which broaden our students’ horizons.
During the school year we provide students with the opportunity to experience winter and summer adventures during our project weeks. Our students can be found skiing, snowboarding, ice-skating, snowshoeing, swimming, bicycling, windsurfing, sailing. We also arrange work experience and internships, as well as organising sightseeing and cultural trips beyond Vienna and Austria.
At Amadeus Vienna, we believe that giving students and staff the opportunity to lead and organise a wide variety of events is a wonderful way to learn and celebrate our own strengths and connection to the community. Whether it is the annual Gala Concert, one of our days in “Wonderland” or our charity projects, we strive to build our sense of internationalism, appreciation of the host country, and our very own Amadeus Vienna community.
