Admissions Procedure

Amadeus International School Vienna welcomes applications from students aged three to 18 regardless of gender, ethnicity, race, religion or physical abilities. We accept applications on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please keep in mind that boarding applicants who require a residence permit to study in Austria should apply at least six months prior to their anticipated start date. Amadeus Vienna cannot influence the time it takes for a student to receive his/her residence permit as it processed and issued through the Austrian immigration authorities.

We recommend that all parents considering enrolling their children at Amadeus Vienna visit our campus before applying, if possible.

Our school office is open and available to assist you with inquiries, school tours and enrolments Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00 throughout the year, including during school holidays.

How to Apply

Step 1: Application

When you are ready to submit an application for your child(ren), please complete our online application form. The online application portal will prompt you to submit the following supporting documents:

  • school reports – most recent final or mid-term, as well as the final reports of the previous two years
  • copy of the child’s birth certificate
  • passport size photo of your child
  • any of the child’s relevant medical information or record, including vaccination records
  • Only for day students: email copy of Residence Registration Form (Meldebestätigung)
  • Only for boarding students: fill purchase form for boarding students, (in regards to residence permit service and medical insurance)

Step 2: Assessment

We evaluate all potential students before offering them a place. Primary School assessments are conducted by the Head of Primary School and involve observation in core subjects and social development. Secondary School assessments include an assessment day (a trial day or Skype interview) and ability testing in English and Mathematics. Assessments for Secondary School students are conducted by the Head of Secondary School.

Step 3: Enrolment

After successfully completing the application and the assessment, we will send you the school contract, the invoice, the Austrian School Authority registration form, and our General Terms and Conditions. Enrolment is completed after receiving the countersigned school contract and confirmation of payment.

Waiting Lists

If there is not space available in the appropriate class, parents may submit their application and pay an Application Fee to hold a place on the waiting list. The Application Fee is non-refundable.
